Historic Theater Makes Major Strides within Regional Entertainment Scene
September 2018, Norwalk, CT: “Here Today, Here Forever” reads the majestic blue-lit marquee at Norwalk’s emerging Wall Street Theater. Last year at this time, this little theater that could, re-introduced arts and entertainment enthusiasts to this historic landmark. This past spring, Eversource presented a $1.8 million dollar tax credit funding check, further solidifying the theater’s preservation and forward-moving trajectory it continues to stays on. Now collaborating with Premier Concerts / Manic Presents, The Wall Street Theater is excited to announce the addition of rock, Broadway, and country powerhouse performers to this fall’s line-up of entertaining and uplifting shows.

Originating from Gainesville, FL, Sister Hazel is comprised of five seasoned musicians whose well-spring of natural talent has been called "one of the Top 100 Most Influential Independent Performers of the last 15 years" by Performing Songwriter Magazine. Their song "All for You" topped the adult alternative charts during the summer of 1997, propelling their album to platinum status. They continued to shine on Billboard’s Top Country and Independent Album charts over the years and are currently on their US “Wind” tour.

Former singer and keyboardist of CT’s All the Voices, indie rocker Alan Chapell enlisted Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads to helm the production duties of his debut album, “The Redhead’s Allegations“. The album masterfully synthesizes a myriad of old-school influences into something that is truly unique. (Set time: 9pm)
The Jason Gisser Band formed in the late summer of 2015. After recording their first album "In The Garden of Crows" They went on to perform opening for bands such as Hoobastank, Grand Funk Railroad, Three Dog Night, Lukas Nelson and The Promise of the Real and many more. The Jason Gisser Band became a popular draw at festivals such as 19th Annual Harvest Fest and Freedom Fair with The Wailers and Murphy's Law, as well as The Montalk Music Festival, Mazzstock, The Woods Bash in Woodstock, The Hudson Valley Film Festival and many more. The band consists of Jason Gisser (Acoustic Guitar & Vocals), Andrew Fennell (Bass), Big Thurrsty (Drums), and Tom "The Suit" Forst (Lead Guitar).

Pioneering the heavy metal style while providing inspiration to psychedelic jam bands and arena rockers alike, genre-benders Blue Öyster Cult offer the world a taste of the wild side. The group has been known to incorporate elements of science-fiction and dark occultism into their jaw-dropping live show, and this allegiance to dynamic and masterful performances has led to the group being covered by everyone from Metallica and HIM to more. Formed on a college campus in 1967, Blue Öyster Cult is best known for their smash singles "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," "Burnin' for You" and "Godzilla." Riff-heavy and head-banging while intelligently hook-laden, the band remains a staple among the heavy metal greats.

A Brooklyn, NY native, Lillias White is a Broadway veteran who has been singing, acting, and dancing her way through such stage roles as Grizabella in CATS, Mama Morton in CHICAGO, Jonesy in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, Asaka in ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, Joice Heth in BARNUM, and Funmilayo Anikulapo Kuti in the Bill T. Jones production of FELA! (Tony Nomination). For her turn as Sonja in THE LIFE, Lillias received the "Triple Crown" of Broadway kudos; The Outer Critics Circle, Drama Desk, and a Tony Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical. Lillias White can currently be seen as Fat Annie on Baz Luhrmann's NETFLIX show THE GET DOWN.

20th Anniversary of "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road" Tour

2018 marks the 20th Anniversary of Lucinda Williams’ critically acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning, highly-influential masterpiece Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. In celebration of her milestone work, Williams will embark on a select twelve-date, ten-city tour where she will perform the album in its entirety, followed by a second set of songs from her celebrated career. Car Wheels on a Gravel Road fused rock, blues, country and Americana into a distinctive style, producing the Grammy nominated track "Can't Let Go", which became Williams' greatest commercial success to date. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA and earned Williams a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album, while being universally acclaimed by critics. Williams released the critically acclaimed Essence three years later which featured "Get Right with God," earning Williams the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance in 2002.
