Solo Circumnavigating Sailor Jerome Rand
Thurs., Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.
Re-live an incredible non-stop solo voyage around the world – completed in one of the smallest boats ever to make the journey – in a special presentation by sailor Jerome Rand on Thurs., Jan. 24 in The Maritime Aquarium.
Rand circumnavigated the planet aboard a 32-foot, 43-year-old sailboat in an adventure that took nine months, from October 2017 to June 2018. His was the first unsponsored nonstop sail around the world that started from the U.S.
His multimedia recounting of the trip will begin at 7 p.m. in the Aquarium’s Newman’s Own Hall.
Tickets for Rand’s presentation are $15.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. (Note that regular adult admission is $24.95. So, with doors opening at 6 p.m., you can tour the Aquarium for an hour and then enjoy this special presentation for less than normal admission.)
